Founded in 1987 by Dr Basil Budke, Aluminium Foil Converters (AFC) has grown from a purely “niche market” supplier to a highly respected industry member at the forefront of foil based packaging in South Africa.

We cater for both gravure and state of the art flexographic printing and supply all laminations including light gauge unbacked aluminium foils.

AFC is located in Pietermaritzburg, the capital city of the Kwazulu Natal Province of South Africa, readily acknowledged as the “Gateway to Africa”Our factory is in close proximity to our major raw material supplier which uniquely positions us to supply converted foil for packaging at short lead times and with competitive pricing.
We have easy road access to Durban Harbour, South Africa’s busiest port, for shipping exports and imports and also Road and rail links to all of South Africa’s major centers with Durban International Airport less than an hour away by road the local Oribi Airport only 15 minutes away!
